A Texas hospice provider has developed a mobile solution to help staff stay connected with compliance and workflow efficiency.
“The goal of hospice care is to improve the quality of a patient’s last months by offering comfort, dignity and care in a familiar setting,” Lion said in a statement.
To further this mission, Lion Hospice has implemented the CellTrak VisitManager solution so that its aides and nurses spend less time worrying about updating paper forms and more time focused on comforting patients, the company announced today.
Choosing to use Apple iPhone on the AT&T network, Lion’s CellTrak technology provides an easy to use solution to keep aides, nurses and office staff more efficient with real-time access to schedules and care plans.
The technology is also beneficial to staff that operates outside densely-populated metropolitan areas.
“One of the advantages CellTrak offers is the ability for the field staff to continue to capture their visit in very rural areas with low connectivity,” said Shawn Roberts, manager of information technology at Lion Health Centers Inc.
A global provider of integrated mobile clinical solutions, CellTrak enables organizations to manage and mobilize staffs through patented software-as-a-service solutions that run on GPS-enabled mobile devices.
“Lion Hospice has been great to work with and their compassion for what they do speaks volumes of what their staff do each day in a patient’s home,” said Michael K. Wons, president and CEO of CellTrak Technologies. “We are grateful to be able to provide the team a tool to become more efficient and gain better compliance.”
